Defendant. THIRTY (30) DAY DEADLINE 16 17 Plaintiff Marcel D. Ford is a state prisoner proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis in this civil rights action filed pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Plaintiff filed the complaint commencing this action on December 4, 2023. (ECF No. 1). The Court issued a screening order giving leave to amend on April 19, 2024. (ECF No. 12). Plaintiff filed a First Amended Complaint (ECF No. 13) on May 2, 2024, which is now before the Court for screening. Plaintiff generally alleges that Officer Fiori at Kern Valley State Prison (KVSP) failed to protect him from the risk of having an R suffix.
