INTRODUCTION Defendant AuguStar Life Assurance Corporation (ALAC) has moved to withdraw the reference to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California (“bankruptcy court”) pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 157(d), (e) of an adversary proceeding.
