17 Background On December 27, 2024, Plaintiff Joshua Cuevas filed this case against Defendant Louis E. Martinez, doing business as Meridan General Store, alleging violations of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, and other state law causes of action. (Doc. 1). These claims stem from alleged barriers Plaintiff encountered while visiting a facility owned, operated, or leased by Defendant. Id. at 3. Defendant has not appeared.
