In support of the motion, Plaintiff states in part that his case is a complex medical matter which currently presents imminent danger to his health. Id. He also states that he is indigent; that he is uneducated, and that his search for a pro bono attorney to represent him has been unsuccessful. Id. District courts lack authority to require counsel to represent indigent prisoners in section 1983 cases. Mallard v. United States Dist. Court, 490 U.S. 296, 298 (1989).
