15 16 Plaintiff is proceeding pro se and in forma pauperis in this action filed pursuant to 42 17 U.S.C. § 1983. 18 Currently before the Court is Plaintiff’s motion for a copy of the Court’s November 26, 19 2024, screening order, filed January 23, 2025. (ECF No. 16.) Plaintiff submits that his legal 20 papers “were ransacked by jail staff and certain legal documents were in fact stolen ….” (ECF 21 No. 16.) Plaintiff’s amended complaint is due on or before February 10, 2024. (ECF No. 15.) 22 Plaintiff is advised that “prisoners have a constitutional right of access to the courts,” 23 Bounds v. Smith, 430 U.S. 817, 821 (1977), there is no constitutional right to receive photocopies 24 free of charge. Sands v. Lewis, 886 F.2d 1166, 1169 (9th Cir. 1990), overruled on other grounds…
