14 CHANDLER, et al., (Doc. Nos. 47, 50) 15 Defendants. 16 17 Plaintiff, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, has filed this civil rights action seeking relief 18 under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The matter was referred to a United States Magistrate Judge pursuant to 19 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Local Rule 302. 20 On August 12, 2024, after his third amended complaint was found at screening to have 21 stated potentially cognizable claims against two correctional officers for failure to protect him, 22 plaintiff filed a motion seeking leave to file a fourth amended complaint adding six supervisorial 23 defendants as to his failure to protect claim.
