17 Plaintiff seeks judicial review of a final decision of the Commissioner of Social Security (“Commissioner”) denying an application for Supplemental Security Income (“SSI”) under Title XVI of the Social Security Act (“Act”). For the reasons discussed below, the undersigned will recommend that plaintiff’s motion for summary judgment be granted and defendant’s cross- motion for summary judgment be denied. BACKGROUND On July 30, 2021, an application for SSI was filed on behalf of the claimant, a minor child, alleging disability due to Type 1 diabetes and depression.
