Defendant Alvaro Atlagce Gonzalez was convicted by jury trial of first degree 1 murder (Pen. Code, § 187, subd. (a)), second degree robbery (§ 211), and driving or taking a vehicle (Veh. Code, § 10851, subd. (a)). The jury also found true a special circumstance allegation that the murder had been committed while defendant was engaged in the commission of robbery (§ 190.2, subd.
