Treon, a federal prisoner proceeding pro se, filed the instant petition for writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 on February 3, 2025 in the Eastern District of Missouri. (Doc. No. 1, “Petition”). Subsequently, the case was transferred to the Eastern District of California. (Doc. Nos. 3, 4). The Court takes judicial notice of its own files, which reveal that Petitioner had previously filed a federal petition in this court challenging the same sentence at case number 1:25-cv-00122-HBK. …
