16 This matter is before the court on a motion for judgment on the pleadings filed on February 27, 2024, by Defendants Waste Management Inc., Waste Management National Services, Inc., and USA Waste of California, Inc. (collectively “Defendants”). (Doc. No. 25.) On March 4, 2024, the pending motion was taken under submission to be decided on the papers pursuant to Local Rule 230(g).1 (Doc. No. 26.) For the reasons explained below, the court will grant Defendants’ motion for judgment on the pleadings.
