17 Plaintiff Jose Luis Gallardo-Pinedo (“Gallardo-Pinedo”) brings this action against defendant Aegis Security Insurance Company (“Aegis”), alleging Aegis breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing to its insured by failing to timely settle with Gallardo-Pinedo. Doc. 7. Gallardo-Pinedo pursues the present claim against Aegis as the assignee of Aegis’s insured. Aegis moves for summary judgment. Doc. 24. Gallardo-Pinedo filed an opposition, Doc. 29, and Aegis filed a reply, Doc. 30. For the reasons stated below, Aegis’s motion for summary judgment is granted. I.
