15 Defendants. 16 17 Plaintiff, a prisoner proceeding pro se, brings this civil rights action pursuant to 18 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Pending before the Court are (1) Defendants’ motion to sever misjoined 19 claims, ECF No. 29, and (2) Plaintiff’s motion for court ruling on Defendants’ motion to sever 20 claims and motion for leave to amend, ECF No. 35. Defendant has filed an opposition to 21 Plaintiff’s request to amend. See ECF No. 36. 22 23 I. BACKGROUND 24 A. Plaintiff’s Allegations 25 Plaintiff names the following as defendants: (1) K.
