17 18 Plaintiff is proceeding in this action pro se, and the case was accordingly referred to the 19 undersigned for pretrial matters by E.D. Cal. R. (“Local Rule”) 302(c)(21). On May 5, 2025, the 20 court granted plaintiff’s in forma pauperis (“IFP”) application but rejected the complaint, granting 21 plaintiff 30 days to file an amended complaint. ECF No. 9. Plaintiff was cautioned that failure to 22 do so could lead to a recommendation that the action be dismissed. Plaintiff did not file an 23 amended complaint within the time limit. On June 17, 2025, the court issued an order to show 24 cause by June 26, 2025, why this case should not be dismissed for failure to prosecute. ECF No. 25 10.
