16 17 I. Background 18 Plaintiff Andrew Avila (“Plaintiff”) is a state prisoner proceeding pro se in this civil rights 19 action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. This matter was referred to a United States Magistrate Judge 20 pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Local Rule 302. 21 On May 16, 2025, the Court screened Plaintiff’s second amended complaint and found 22 that it stated a cognizable claim against Defendant Michael A. Felder for deliberate indifference 23 to medical care in violation of the Eighth Amendment, but failed to state any other cognizable 24 claims for relief against any other defendant. (ECF No. 37.)
