17 18 Plaintiff John Edward Mitchell (“Plaintiff”) is a state prisoner proceeding pro se in this 19 civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The complaint has not yet been screened. 20 On July 2, 2025, Plaintiff filed a request to take leave to amend and/or correct the 21 pleadings, which the Court construes as a motion to amend the complaint. (ECF No. 16.) 22 Plaintiff requests that he be permitted to amend the pending complaint within thirty days pursuant 23 to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 15.
