17 18 Plaintiff seeks remand of this case to state court arguing that the Court lacks 19 diversity jurisdiction because the minimum amount in controversy has not been met. 20 As discussed further below, the Court agrees, and finds that Defendant has not 21 sufficiently demonstrated that the amount in controversy exceeds $75,000. 22 Accordingly, the Court will GRANT remand. 23 BACKGROUND 24 Plaintiff Janise Cohen alleges she was employed as a team lead for Defendant 25 Regal Cinemas, Inc. in their movie theaters from approximately November 2023 26 through August 2024. (Compl. (ECF No. 1-2) ¶¶ 3, 11.)
