Hankin appeals a probate court order granting judgment on the pleadings and dismissing his petition for the appointment of a probate conservator for Anne S. 1 Hankin also appeals the court’s imposition of $5,577 in sanctions. In this appeal, we consider who is authorized by Probate Code section 1820 to petition for the appointment of conservators and whether the trial court correctly concluded Hankin was not so authorized in this case.
