I. Factual and Procedural Background

On March 19, 2025, Plaintiff filed a Complaint against Defendant in Los Angeles County Superior Court (“LASC”), alleging causes of action for: (1) violation of California Civil Code § 1793.2(d); (2) violation of California Civil Code § 1793.2(b); (3) violation of California Civil Code § 1793.2(a)(3); (4) breach of the implied warranty of merchantability, California Civil Code §§ 1791.1 and 1794; and (5) violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (“MMWA”), 15 U.S.C. §§ 2301- 2312. In the Complaint, Plaintiff alleges that on August 5, 2023, he purchased a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (the “Subject Vehicle”), which was manufactured and/or distributed by Defendant. After buying the Subject Vehicle, Plaintiff alleges that it manifested defects covered by express written warranties provided by Defendant, including (but not limited to) electrical defects. According to Plaintiff, these defects substantially impaired the use, value, and/or safety of the Subject Vehicle.
