18 Plaintiff Michael Bruce Anthony McPherson is appearing pro se and in forma pauperis in 19 this civil rights action. 20
I. RELEVANT BACKGROUND
21 Plaintiff initiated this action by filing a complaint on August 15, 2024. (Doc. 1.) On 22 August 19, 2025, the Court granted Plaintiff’s application to proceed in forma pauperis. (Doc. 7.) 23 On September 29, 2025, Plaintiff filed a Motion for Summary Judgment. (Doc. 12.) 24
II. DISCUSSION
25 Plaintiff’s motion is premature. First, the Court has not yet screened Plaintiff’s complaint. 26 Screening of a prisoner complaint is required by 28 U.S.C. § 1915A(a). This Court is one of the 27 1 …
