This 17 discovery motion was referred to the magistrate judge pursuant to Local Rule 302(c)(1). The 18 parties submitted the required joint statement. ECF No. 21. The motion was taken under 19 submission. ECF No. 22. For the reasons set forth below, the motion to compel is GRANTED. 20 I. Allegations in the Complaint 21 This case was filed on September 16, 2024. ECF No. 1. The complaint alleges that 22 Jeremiah Wright (Wright), whose estate and surviving family members have brought this action, 23 died while in custody at the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Detention Center on May 27, 2024.
