16 Defendant. 17 In this action brought under California state law, alleging breach of warranty and 18 fraudulent inducement tied to the purchase of a vehicle, Plaintiff moves to remand arguing that 19 the amount in controversy (“AIC”) does not meet the jurisdictional minimum for diversity 20 jurisdiction in federal court. (Doc. 9-1 at 9.) For the reasons set forth below, the motion is 21 GRANTED. 22 I. BACKGROUND 23 On or around July 27, 2022, Plaintiff purchased a new 2022 Chrysler Pacifica to use 24 “primarily for family or household purposes.” (Doc. 1-3 at 7–8, ¶¶ 7, 9.)
