17 18 Pending before the Court is Plaintiff United States of America’s motion for default 19 judgment pursuant to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 55(b)(2).1 (ECF No. 11). This 20 motion was reset for hearing for August 20, 2025 before the undersigned. (ECF No. 12.) 21 Defendants Suta Douangpanya and Annie Douangpanya did not file a response to the 22 motion, nor have they appeared in this case in any way. See Docket. On August 6, 23 2025, Plaintiff’s motion was taken under submission without argument pursuant to Local 24 Rule 230(g). 8/6/2025 Order (ECF No. 13). For the reasons stated below, the Court 25 recommends Plaintiff’s motion for default judgment be GRANTED, and that judgment be 26 entered in favor of Plaintiff. 27 1 This matter…
