ORDER 14 JEFF LYNCH, et al., 15 Defendants. 16 17 Plaintiffs, two state prisoners proceeding pro se, filed a civil rights action pursuant to 42 18 U.S.C. § 1983. Plaintiff Maurice Daronte Davis has submitted an application to proceed in forma 19 pauperis. ECF No. 2. Plaintiff Brandyn Howard has not filed an in forma pauperis affidavit or 20 paid the required filing fee of $350.00 plus the $55.00 administrative fee.1 See 28 U.S.C. §§ 21 1914(a), 1915(a). 22 A court may allow multiple prisoners to proceed in a federal lawsuit provided the standard 23 of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 20(a)(1) is satisfied. However, if the joint-filing prisoners 24 proceed in forma pauperis under 28 U.S.C. § 1915, each prisoner must qualify for in forma 25 pauperis status and pay the full filing fee in installments.
