17 18 Plaintiff Diontae Johan Duncan, a former state prisoner, is appearing pro se and in forma 19 pauperis in this civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. section 1983. 20 I. RELEVANT BACKGROUND 21 Plaintiff was released from custody on July 11, 2024. (See Doc. 119.)
