ORDER 14 SCOTT, et al., 15 Defendants. 16 17 On October 31, 2025, plaintiff filed a motion for reconsideration of this Court’s order 18 denying plaintiff’s motion for default judgment. (ECF No. 35.) As discussed below, plaintiff’s 19 motion is denied. 20 I. BACKGROUND 21 Plaintiff’s complaint was filed on June 13, 2025. On July 9, 2025, plaintiff’s complaint 22 was screened, and plaintiff was granted leave to proceed with his Eighth Amendment excessive 23 force claims against defendants A. Scott, J. Elmore, and A. Chavez, or he could elect to amend 24 his complaint to attempt to state cognizable deliberate indifference claims against unidentified 25 medical staff. (ECF No. 5.) Plaintiff elected to amend, and on July 23, 2025, plaintiff was 26 granted 45 days to file an amended complaint. (ECF Nos. 12, 13.)
