17 18 Proceeding without counsel, plaintiff Richard Cristdahl initiated this action in state court 19 and defendants filed a notice of removal based on diversity jurisdiction. (ECF No. 1.) This matter 20 was referred to the undersigned by Local Rule 302(c)(21). See 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1). 21 On October 10, 2025, plaintiff filed a motion to remand and a motion for leave to amend 22 the complaint. (ECF Nos. 10, 11.) These motions are suitable for decision without oral argument 23 under Local Rule 230(g). Accordingly, the hearing set for December 3, 2025, is vacated. For the 24 reasons set forth below, the undersigned recommends the court grant the motion for leave to 25 amend the complaint and deny the motion to remand.
