I. Introduction

This is a patent infringement suit in which all the patents-in-suit relate to pulse oximetry. Plaintiffs/C ounterdefendants Mallinckrodt Inc. and Nellcor Puritan Bennett, Inc. (collectively, “Nellcor”) assert six separate patents. Defen-dani/Counterclaimant Masimo Corp. (“Ma-simo”) asserts five patents. A list of these patents follows.
