INTRODUCTION

Spectrum Information Services, LLC (Spectrum LLC), and Curtis Pilon (together referred to as Plaintiffs) appeal from an order granting a motion to quash service of summons for lack of personal jurisdiction. The motion was brought by defendants Spectrum Information Services NW, Inc. (Spectrum NW Inc.), which is a Washington corporation, Glenn Odell, who is a resident of Oregon, and Lisa Lynn Kays, who is a resident of Washington (Spectrum NW Inc., Odell, and Kays are collectively referred to as Defendants). We conclude none of Defendants has contacts with California sufficient to support the exercise of personal jurisdiction and therefore affirm the order granting the motion to quash. Defendants have brought a motion for sanctions against Plaintiffs on the ground their appeal is frivolous and their appellate briefs violate court rules. Although the appeal is without merit, it is not frivolous, and so we deny the motion for sanctions.
