Defendant Robert Rodriguez was convicted of two felonies and originally sentenced to 27 years in prison, including three consecutive five- year enhancements for prior serious felonies pursuant to Penal Code section 667, subdivision (a)(1) (section 667(a)(1)).1 Rodriguez appealed.
