MEMORANDUM *

Johnson appeals from the denial of his habeas corpus petition. The district court had jurisdiction pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 , and we have jurisdiction over the timely filed appeal under 28 U.S.C. § 2253 . We affirm for the reasons stated by the *360 district court in its November 13, 2001, memorandum and order.
