I. Background
The following facts are drawn from Plaintiff’s Complaint (“Compl.”) (Dkt. 1-2). This action concerns Plaintiff’s 2017 purchase of a Ford Fusion manufactured or distributed by Defendant Ford Motor Company (“Defendant”). Compl. ¶ 9. Plaintiff alleges that the car developed defects during the warranty period requiring replacement and repair of various parts. Id. ¶ 10-17. Plaintiff originally filed suit in the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, on August 31, 2021. On November 23, 2021, Defendant removed the action to this Court, asserting diversity jurisdiction. Notice of Removal (Dkt. 1). Plaintiff filed this Motion to Remand on January 31, 2022. Mot. Defendant filed its Opposition (“Opp’n”) on Febuary 14, 2022 (Dkt. 15), and Plaintiff filed his Reply on Febuary 18, 2022 (Dkt. 16).
