On approximately July 19, 2022, Plaintiff LA Ventura 2020 LLC (“Plaintiff”) filed a Complaint for Unlawful Detainer against Defendant Jarrell Davis (“Davis”) in Los Angeles Superior Court. On November 4, 2022, Merjem Ugarak (“Ugarak”) filed a Notice of Removal, alleging that this Court has jurisdiction pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1332 and 1343.1 Federal courts are courts of limited jurisdiction, having subject matter jurisdiction only over matters authorized by the Constitution and Congress.
