Plaintiff TenTen LLC filed this unlawful detainer action against Defendant Dominic Smith on April 19, 2023, in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Case Number 23STUD04165. (See Doc. 1 at 6.) On June 15 2023, Defendant removed this action. (Id. at 1.) If a federal district court lacks subject matter jurisdiction, it must remand the case, and has the discretion to do so sua sponte.
