On November 30, 2023, Plaintiff Bonnie Reyes (“Plaintiff”) filed a Complaint against Defendant Mars, Incorporated (“Defendant”) in Los Angeles Superior Court (“LASC”). In her Complaint, Plaintiff alleges that Defendant, who manufacturers and sells the candy known as “Starburst” (“Product”), “sells the Product in oversized packaging that does not reasonably inform consumers that they are mostly buying air,” in order to increase its profits at the expense of consumers.
