RULING

20 On October 11, 2023, Plaintiff Allstate Insurance Company (“Plaintiff”) 21 initiated this action against Defendant LG Electronics U.S.A., Inc. (“Defendant”), and 22 Does 1-10 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Dkt. 1-2 (“Compl.”). On 23 November 17, 2023, Defendant removed the action to this court, based on alleged 24 diversity jurisdiction. Dkt. 1 (“NOR”). 25 On December 11, 2023, the court ordered the parties to show cause (“OSC”) 26 why the action should not be remanded for lack of subject matter jurisdiction due to 27 an insufficient amount in controversy.
