14 Defendants. 15 16 I. INTRODUCTION 17 Plaintiff Ja’Naye Granberry, proceeding pro se, filed her First Amended 18 Complaint against Defendant Denis R. McDonough, Secretary of the Department of 19 Veterans Affairs, narrowing her claims to the following: (1) that she was subjected to a 20 hostile work environment; and (2) that her direct supervisor, Robert Lopez, engaged in 21 unlawful retaliation. (First Am. Compl. (“FAC”), ECF No. 21.) McDonough now 22 moves to dismiss Granberry’s First Amended Complaint under Federal Rule of Civil 23 Procedure (“Rule”) 12(b)(6). (Mot. Dismiss (“Mot.” or “Motion”), ECF No. 22.) For 24 the following reasons, the Court GRANTS the Motion and DISMISSES Granberry’s 25 complaint WITH LEAVE TO AMEND.1 26 27
