PATTERSON, Defendants. 16 Plaintiff is a state prisoner proceeding pro se with a civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. By order dated March 21, 2019, plaintiff’s complaint was screened and dismissed for failure to state a claim. (ECF No. 14.) Plaintiff was directed to file an amended complaint within thirty days and warned that failure to file an amended complaint would result in a recommendation that this action be dismissed. Plaintiff failed to file an amended complaint and the court directed plaintiff to either dismiss this action or file an amended complaint within fourteen days. (ECF No. 17.) Thereafter plaintiff moved for and was granted a thirty-day extension of time in which to file an amended complaint. (ECF Nos. 18, 19.)
