18 Plaintiff William J. Gradford (“Plaintiff”) is a former inmate proceeding pro se in this 19 civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Plaintiff filed the Complaint commencing this 20 action on March 11, 2020. (ECF No. 1). The Court screened Plaintiff’s complaint, found no cognizable claims, and gave Plaintiff leave to amend on August 6, 2020. (ECF No. 12). Plaintiff filed a First Amended Complaint on August 21, 2020, (ECF No. 14), which is before this Court for screening.
