BACKGROUND In this case, K.M., through her guardian ad litem, sought damages under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (“IDEA”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Rehabilitation Act, and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act. (Doc. No. 14.) On January 31, 2019, plaintiff filed a motion seeking approval of a minor’s compromise. (Doc. No. 44.) The assigned magistrate judge recommended approval of that motion (Doc.
