INTRODUCTION

18 Kimberly Denise Packard (“Plaintiff”) seeks judicial review of a final decision of the 19 Commissioner of Social Security (“Commissioner” or “Defendant”) denying her application for 20 disability benefits pursuant to the Social Security Act. The matter is currently before the Court 21 on the parties’ briefs, which were submitted, without oral argument, to Magistrate Judge Stanley 22 A. Boone.1

FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND

25 Plaintiff filed an application for supplemental security income on December 10, 2003 and 26 was found to be not disabled in decision issued on March 21, 2006.
