Currently pending before the court are several motions related to discovery. The court will address each motion in turn as well as plaintiff’s motion for leave to file a first amended complained. I. Procedural History In the present action, plaintiff is challenging the conditions of his confinement and his transfer to a “50-50 yard” after filing a grievance about his living conditions at Deuel Vocational Institution (“DVI”).
