17 Petitioner is a federal prisoner currently incarcerated within this District at FCI-Lompoc. The Clerk’s Office received a putative 28 U.S.C. § 2241 petition from him on May 24, 2021, which thereafter was filed and assigned to the undersigned (Dkt. 1, “Petition”). The Court has screened the Petition1 and evaluated Petitioner’s allegations and claims. Based on this review, the Court concludes that 23 Habeas petitions brought pursuant to Section 2241 may be subjected to the same screening 24 requirements that apply to habeas petitions brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254.
