Having considered 20 the submissions of the parties and heard oral argument, the court 21 grants the motion in part, denies the motion in part, and adopts 22 the following Order.
II. Background
24 On July 26, 2018, Sergio Richard Acosta, Jr. (“Decedent”) died 25 after a police officer, Defendant John Anderson, shot him in front 26 of a residence in Redondo Beach, California. (SAC ¶ 9.) News 27 reports uniformly suggested that Decedent had been chasing someone 28 while armed, and had possibly fired shots. (SAC ¶ 12.) Although paramedics transported Decedent to the hospital, he…
