Frank Paul Piumetti v. Silverado Senior Living, Inc.

I. Introduction

On March 2, 2021, Frank Paul Piumetti (“Decedent”), by and through his successors in interest Rosa Piumetti (“Rosa”), individually; Lisa Farland (“Lisa”), individually; Agatha Piumetti (“Agatha”), individually; Francesca Piumetti (“Francesca”), individually; Teresa Piumetti (“Teresa”), individually; and Patricia Piumetti Gutto (“Patricia”), individually (collectively, “Plaintiffs”) brought this action in the Los Angeles Superior Court against the following defendants: Silverado Senior Living, Inc.; Silverado Senior Living Management, Inc.; Subtenant 330 North Hayworth Avenue, LLC; Loren Shook (“Shook”); and Does 1 through 100 (collectively, “Defendants”). Dkt. 1-2 (“Complaint”).1 On April 23, 2021, the action was removed. Dkt. 1. The Complaint advances three causes of action: (i) elder abuse and neglect, (ii) wrongful death, and (iii) negligence. Complaint ¶¶ 58-81.
