16 I. INTRODUCTION & BACKGROUND In 2018, Plaintiff Bagrat Goroyan leased a vehicle manufactured and warranted 19 by Defendant BMW of North America, LLC (“BMW NA”). (Decl. of Andrew K. 20 Stefatos Ex. A (“Compl.”) ¶ 12, ECF No. 1-2.) The vehicle exhibited problems with 21 its braking, steering, and handling, and Plaintiff alleges BMW NA was unable to 22 repair the problems even after several visits to an authorized dealer. (Id.) Plaintiff 23 filed his complaint against BMW NA in the Los Angeles County Superior Court 24 asserting various claims under California consumer protection and unfair competition 25 law. (Id. ¶¶ 14–49.) Defendant removed the action to this Court based on alleged diversity 27 jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. § 1332. (See Notice of Removal (“NOR”) ¶ 6, ECF 28 No. 1.) …
