16 On January 6, 2021, plaintiff John Cavazos filed a motion in this court for conditional certification and preliminary approval of a class and collective action settlement. (Doc. No. 45.) On February 18, 2022, the court granted preliminary approval of the proposed class action settlement and conditional class certification. (Doc. No. 52.) In its order granting preliminary approval, the court set a hearing for final approval of the proposed settlement for May 23, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. before the undersigned. (Id. at 41.)
