Volkswagen removed the action to this court based on this court’s diversity Jurisdiction. Plaintiffs now move to amend their complaint to add a negligence claim against a non-diverse defendant, Rami Alsharif, who manages a shop where the car was serviced. If Alsharif were 23 joined, the parties would no longer be diverse, so the plaintiffs also seek to remand this action to 24 state court.
