FOURTEEN DAYS 16 I. INTRODUCTION Leroy Freeman (“Plaintiff”) is proceeding through counsel in this civil rights action filed pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Plaintiff filed the complaint commencing this action on April 12, 2021. (ECF No. 1). Plaintiff was incarcerated at California State Prison, Corcoran (“Corcoran”), when he was diagnosed with a condition that required surgical intervention. Plaintiff asserted that following the surgery, he did not receive proper care at Corcoran, which resulted in permanent paralysis.
