FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS 13 MICHAEL PALLARES, 14 Respondent. 15 16 Petitioner Nalana Omega, currently incarcerated in the Central California Women’s 17 Facility, seeks federal habeas review of her 2017 conviction of murder in the El Dorado County 18 Superior Court. ECF No. 1. Respondent seeks to dismiss the petition. ECF No. 10. For the 19 reasons that follow, the court finds that the petition must be dismissed. 20 I. Background 21 Petitioner was sentenced to 25-years-to-life on August 4, 2017. ECF No. 12-1. The 22 California Court of Appeal for the Third Appellate District denied her direct appeal on June 21, 23 2019. ECF No. 12-2. Petitioner sought review in the California Supreme Court, who directed the 24 Court of Appeal to vacate its decision and reconsider the matter in light of People v.
