The matter was referred to a United States Magistrate Judge pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) and Local Rule 302. Before this court is Plaintiff’s motion which requests a copy of the trial transcript that is paid for by the government. ECF No. 163. For the reasons stated below, the motion will be denied. I. RELEVANT PROCEDURAL HISTORY On September 21, 2023, after a jury trial, a verdict was reached, judgment was entered, and this case was closed. ECF Nos. 153, 154 (jury verdict; judgment). Thereafter, on October 3, 2023, a notice of appeal filed by Plaintiff in the Ninth Circuit was docketed and processed. ECF Nos.…
